Wow! I am impressed! I got the sewing guru courses at a good discount with coupons, and it is probably the best course I ever bought- and now even good customer support! Wow!! Helps restore my hope in humanity! It turns out that since one of your team sent me my password (which, of course, I had forgotten to write down when I bought the course) I have been able to watch the course on my laptop and even my tablet! I am sometimes on the road for many hours at a time, and the option of watching the course on my tablet is awesome! Anyway, thanks again for your help. I look forward to creating my own wardrobe that will be so much more interesting and colourful than anything I could ever find in the stores.

Marvellous site.  I look forward to more gems in tailoring and alterations. I must admit I'm a bit slow - not nearly as fast and confident as you - but generally eventually get there. My husband is, usually, pleased with multiple waistcoats in various fabrics - from brocades and velvets to wool - but the next project will probably be a jacket with shawl collar. I've also made ladies waistcoats using a ladies jacket pattern  with no sleeves. I've also got four (small) dogs, so might make them individual coats using your patterns, once I can figure out how to obtain different sizes (perhaps by scaling the paper patterns).

Thank you for giving me the confidence to do it properly and ' make it look really nice'.

Hello Michael, I am so glad that I took your advice! I have now completed my first pair trousers.  I made them out of linen (a fabric I hadn’t used before) and they have turned out fantastic.  I followed along with each of your videos and created the toile and made it fit me.  I also made up the parts, as you did for the pockets and zip fly etc.  I even did a flap for the rear pocket and a double hook and bar for the front closure.  I do like this method since you then know if will work with your trousers.  Your explanations were spot on.  Of course I now have a toile to make other pairs of trousers. I learnt quite a bit when making them, but in the end, as you say, nothing was really complex if taken in baby steps.  There are one or two things I will take more care of next time.  However, the end result is a very usable pair of trousers.  I even put in a D ring inside the left pocket! Kind regards,

Kevin.

Hello Team, I asked a question of you recently about a Steam Generator Iron. Well I finally decided on the Tefal GV8932. I have never used a steam generator iron before but I am completely blown away with this product and it far exceeds my expectations. I am presently making a lined skirt to Michael's instructions. The fabric is wool with a small repeat pattern which I have experienced problems in aligning the pattern of the fabric at the seams. After about 6 attempts I eventually got it right. Michael's videos are giving me endless quality sewing time. Thank you all. Patricia Griffin

This site is FANTASTIC! I discovered a few of your tutorials on You Tube and followed the link to subscribe. I'm so glad that I did! I'm new to the craft and after mastering the fitted shirt I wanted to make my own jeans; particularly, I wanted to clone my Levi's 511 jeans and produce them in woolens; suiting's, tweeds, melton. I had purchased an online course that was unnecessarily complicated, confusing and inefficient and quickly became frustrated. Your module on jeans-wear has helped me immeasurably! Your instructions/demonstrations are very clear and easy to follow! I'm looking forward to absorbing all of this practical knowledge. I would love to see a tutorial on drafting block patterns for men's-wear, as everything I've seen online is oriented toward women's-wear.

I'm totally a new person in Sewing but I'm thankful for this wonderful website thesewingguru.????

I've learned and still I'm learning everything from scratch to the end process of Sewing and patterns reading, fusing, stitching, seam allowance, etc.. I have followed the lessons and created my few projects smoothly but with hard efforts of course. I'll be more comfortable with more lessons on website and more practice .I recommend all to learn from this website.

I have previously subscribed to 2 sewing sites and watched many sewing videos, but nothing compares to the detailed step-by-step instructions I found on the “sewing guru”. For the first time I feel confidant enough to approach a difficult project like a tailored jacket. Thank you.
